that this tunable is ignored for EUFI(8) boot. The manpage should mention this
similar to kern.vty:
> Note that ‘hw.vga.textmode’ is not compatible with UEFI(8) boot.
or
> Note that ‘hw.vga.textmode’ is ignored during UEFI(8) boot.
