As far as I know, the synchronous exception has long been a
thing of the past. No cherry picking, no explicit
hw.pac.enable=0 involved.

The USB-A ports working (USB3.0 ports) and the USB-C ports not
(USB3.2 ports that support some other modes too) is FreeBSD not
being set up to handle how the USB-C ports are reported by the
QualCom ACPI implementation. The status of that has not changed.

Both Robert and I have been using the Windows Dev Kit 2023 for
a long time now, just not involving the USB-C (USB3.2) ports.
