--- Comment #2 from Ahmad Nizam Ramli <[email protected]> --- As suggested, I added boot_verbose="YES" to /boot/loader.conf and restarted the system. However, after the restart, the warning previously seen in dmesg (WARNING: sysctl vfs.zfs.arc_max is deprecated) did not appear. [21:10]root@nas:~ # cat /boot/loader.conf | grep boot boot_verbose="YES" [21:10]root@nas:~ # dmesg | grep zfs [21:10]root@nas:~ # dmesg | grep arc [21:10]root@nas:~ # Afterward, I removed the boot_verbose="YES" line from /boot/loader.conf and restarted the system again. Following this restart, the warning still did not appear. I am still using the same FreeBSD version (14.4-RELEASE-p6) and have not performed any updates since I reported the bug. [21:21]root@nas:~ # cat /boot/loader.conf | grep boot [21:21]root@nas:~ # dmesg | grep zfs [21:21]root@nas:~ # dmesg | grep arc [21:21]root@nas:~ # uname -a FreeBSD nas 14.4-RELEASE-p6 FreeBSD 14.4-RELEASE-p6 GENERIC amd64 [21:21]root@nas:~ # I am not sure why the warning suddenly cleared after increasing the boot verbosity, but it is no longer appearing. I do not have any third-party startup scripts or monitoring tools that query ZFS ARC statistics. Since the warning is gone, I believe we can close this case. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
