We need to be able to watch how much time clients are online, what
they are doing (such as checking email, or playing games), how much
bandwidth is being used.
In the long run, I suppose this will be used to limit speeds and
applications and such, I'm not entirely sure. All I told is that
they wish to watch what is being done.
For the web stuff, squid sounds like it would fit the description.
Check the ports out for bandwidth tracking stuff as well. IIRC there
is one that can track stuff based on IPFW rules.
