The ISC dhclient can (IRC) take a list of interfaces not to muck with. Just pass it all the interface names on the list, minus the 'dhcp'. If you find 'dhcp' in $network_interfaces, start dhclient. > I've got a machine on the DHCP required network with two NICs. You know you've done something silly; there's a mechanism to stop it breaking things.
