Check device major number. It should be like this

blaze:netcenter$ ls -l /dev/*acd*
crw-r-----  1 root  operator  117,   0  4 ΖΕΧ 15:11 /dev/acd0a
crw-r-----  1 root  operator  117,   2  4 ΖΕΧ 15:11 /dev/acd0c
