OK, so in the end I managed to make it work without any kernel change.
This is how rc.conf look like, as pointed out by András Krasznai.

create_args_wlan0="wlanaddr 3c:97:0e:48:3f:f8"
ifconfig_lagg0="up laggproto failover laggport em0 laggport wlan0 DHCP"

So now the only remaining issue is related to docs. lagg(4) manpage
example and Handbook must be fixed
