Hi,
Rebuilt everything, amd64. /usr/bin/ulimit is missing.
Starting sshd returns:
limits: serlimit vms: Invalid arguement
(vms here is a zpool)
Can't start most services. Can't run a bridge or pf.
If I try that, it breaks to debugger before going multiuser.
Have managed to get an interface working though (so I could, I guess, update
/usr/src
with git to latest) and have console access.
For the benefit of the list, managed to fix this by:
1. rm -rf /usr/obj/*
2. disable filemon in loader.conf
3. disable pf in /etc/rc.conf
4. disabled the bridge1 interface and put the ip on ifconfig_bxe1 temporarily,
enabling connectivity.
5. rm -rf /var/cache/ccache/*
6. mv /etc/src.conf /etc/src.conf.backup
7. mv /etc/src-env.conf /etc/src-env.conf.backup
8. mv /etc/sysctl.conf /etc/sysctl.conf.backup
9. cd /usr/src && git reset --hard && git checkout main && git pull (resulting
in main-n288687-edadc3f90515)
10. (to be on the safe side) cd /usr/src && make cleanworld && make cleandir &&
make clean
11. make -j20 kernel KERNCONF=GENERIC-NODEBUG && sync && reboot
12. make -j20 buildworld && make -j20 kernel KERNCONF=GENERIC-NODEBUG then
etcupdate -p then
make installworld then etcupdate -B then make check-old && yes | make
delete-old then
yes | make delete-old-libs then reboot
The drop to db before all this referenced bxe1 so figured that somehow the
interface and its dependencies
didn't get properly built the first time.
