sendmail 8.12.2 has been imported into -CURRENT. sendmail 8.12 has been developed with two main topics in mind: enhanced security and better performance. sendmail is by default not set-user-ID root anymore which avoids potential local root exploits. See /etc/mail/README (after running mergemaster) for information about possible gotchas with this new version.
