A lot of configurations for Xorg moved to /usr/local/etc/X11/, which is a better place, but it needs to be updated in the Handbook. xdm, xorg.conf.d and xinit moved from their old locations to this directory. Some old locations were /usr/local/lib/etc/X11/, and /etc/X11/.
