My new Client is a VC-funded startup in the San Carlos area of the SF Bay which
manufactures the largest flexible circuits with highest thermal- and
electrical- conductivity. They have retained me to search for multiple
positions:

(1) Custom Manufacturing Equipment Engineer:

Note that while this is the full wish list, we would certainly consider
somebody that comes close and that has the right attitude and approach.
Candidates with 3-10 years in related custom equipment engineering are most
likely to fit our requirements.

In this position, the engineer would spend much of his/her time designing
equipment, but would also interface with our customers from time to time to
help resolve mechanical and/or electrical/circuit design issues. The ideal
candidate should possess the following skillset:

-Familiarity and experience with design and modification of custom
manufacturing equipment for new manufacturing processes

-Strong understanding of mechanical principles and spatial aptitude

-Proficiency with mechanical CAD, experience with SolidWorks preferred

-Proficiency with electrical CAD: ability to generate and edit PCB and flexible
circuit designs

-Experience with design, modification and troubleshooting electrical systems
for industrial equipment

-Experience with writing and editing code for programmable logic controllers
(PLCs)

(2) LED Applications Engineer

- At least 3 years experience with LED luminaire and/or PCB design

- BS or MS in mechanical or electrical engineering

- Thorough knowledge of CAD (Solidworks or Altium) required

- Good understanding of LED luminaire and circuit design constraints and issues
(electrical, mechanical, and thermal)

- Able to communicate effectively with customers (LED luminaire manufacturers)
and partners (SMT houses and contract manufacturers)

(3) Another client is one of the World's largest chemical companies. They
have asked me to help out on a somewhat similar search in the Silicon Valley
area.

sales) is preferred.
Demonstrated successful customer facing experience, preferably to OEM’s in
Military, Networking, Automotive markets.
Demonstrated understanding of high reliability flex or rigid circuit
fabrication technologies, processes, applications, and markets.
Experience prototyping, designing, testing, and evaluating rigid & hybrid
flexible circuit board technologies.
Experience in High speed digital, RF, microwave/millimeter wave circuit, and
antenna applications preferred.
Capable of interfacing with electrical packaging engineers and designers.
Track record of success solving emerging electronics needs, especially those
that address size, weight, and power (SWaP) & high speed / high frequency
applications.
Familiarity of the key requirements for MIL and/or IPC specifications and the
