Development and Welfare taking place at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem on
December 2-4, 2019.<br /><br />The contemporary issues that will be discussed
include: Raising a child with a chronic disease or disability, therapeutic uses
of cannabis in children, long-term outcomes of prematurity, child abuse and
neglect, long-term challenges of adoption, autism, pediatric palliative care,
displaced children, immigration, growing up under the specter of war or
terrorism, screening for addiction, medical clowns, new treatments for rare
diseases sex, screens and media among children.<br /><br />Clinicians,
researchers and therapists from the fields of medicine, allied healthcare
disciplines, education, social work, psychology and rehabilitation sciences
will gather in Jerusalem to discuss a wide range of issues challenging children
