For those who may now know about the FreeBSD Foundation's address set-aside, they would likely encounter it here. In working with addresses the admin can be assured that the address is "well known", i.e. one set up for FreeBSD use. In terms of setting the initial reference I can see ifconfig(8) <===> arp(8) (either one) Handbook references Any other man page references Flip a coin?
