--- Comment #3 from Алексей Игнатьев <[email protected]> ---
(In reply to Gleb Popov from comment #1)
Thank you for your feedback — I understand how the current version of the site
may give that impression.

IgNix.ru is currently in the process of being rebuilt. The original site has
existed since 2008 and has long been focused on publishing practical articles
and real-world use cases for FreeBSD and other UNIX-like systems in business
environments. I continue to maintain that direction and am actively updating
the content with modern FreeBSD features and current practices.

Regarding the Telegram channels — these are a relatively new addition. Over the
past decade, I’ve observed a steady decline in traditional forum activity among
system administrators. For example, the forum I have been co-maintaining with
Alexey Keda (Lissyara) (I am known as Raven2000) since 2007 has seen a
noticeable drop in engagement as more professionals move to messaging
platforms. You can see my long-term involvement here:
https://www.lissyara.su/authors/2007/raven2000/

Because of this shift, Telegram is being used as a complementary communication
channel, especially to reach a younger audience that no longer actively uses
forums. That said, I understand your concern — and I agree that these links can
be removed or reduced if they create the impression of advertising.

To clarify, this is not an advertisement-driven project. I actively use BSD
systems in production, design infrastructure based on them, and continue to
train engineers — just as I have done for many years, including my earlier work
publishing articles on Alexey Keda’s platform before launching my own site.

The goal of IgNix is to rebuild a professional, Russian-speaking BSD-focused
community and provide practical expertise for real business use.
