"VBoxTestOGL --test 2D --test 3D --log vboxtest.log" does not output anything to logfile. But just once, vboxtest.log was generated and it looks like 2D and 3D OK. I do not know this mysterious behavior. (I have installed nvidia-driver-256.53 on 9-current.)
