I have the same issue and all my VMs are not working anymore. (FreeBSD 11.1 +
Virtualbox 5.2)
The workaround provided by Kamil is not working in my case.
Please try to fix it.
I did have same issues migrating some VMs to a new 11.1-RELEASE machine,
via pkg install, but compling virtualbox-ose and virtualbox-ose-kmod
from ports did resolve it.
