I came into this thread after it started, looking back at the history
you stated your running 8.4-RELEASE, this is missing the required changes.
Try 9.2-RELEASE or 10.0-RC4
It is production server, so I can't play with it and try 10.x, but we
are running some other servers on 9.2, so if 9.2 gmirror has support for
TRIM, I can upgrade this server to 9.2.
