Must have been a Linux mailing list... :-) They do things differently
there, it seems.
Inactive memory is fine. It means simply that some piece of data read
from disk is no longer used by anything and is available for immediate
use, *but*, can be "reinstated" to it's content (ie, work as cache).

Not that I know of. It should be a quick hack to implement, though.
