Be sure you have COMPAT4X=yes in /etc/make.conf.  If you didn't, then
do this:
cd /usr/src/lib/compat/compat4x.i386
make obj
make all
make install

Then all __stderrp etc stuff will go away, except for some *really* binaries
that use libc_r.so.3
