After reading the replies a bit, I'm going to suggest some middle
ground.
I think the changes should sit in stable for "a while", and while
they are there we should make notes of it in a few different places
and have people beat up on the changes with various tests.
I think this is very good stuff, and that most of the people
tracking RELENG4_4 would want it, but only if it is 210% fully
tested and helps out 99.999% of all people. So let's verify
both of those and then revisit the issue.
