did you try to set LPT0 mode to bi-directional in the BIOS, and then `cat /dev/lpt0`? > suggested pinout for a parallel crossover calbe to accomplish this > task with ppi? Is the crossover cable even required? as I understand it, either the 8 parallel lines can be driven on both sides to send data both ways, or the 5 control inputs (paper out, ACK, busy, etc) are used to receive data, or both. > -J.
