Do we just pick the latest version of mpsafetty changes?

I think I might be able to run a few tests with the xterm support patch
during the next week.

Heh, that would be a good New Year's gift :-)

I have been using screen and a .bashrc snippet that sets TERM=vt220
inside screen until now.  This has proved to be a remarkably good
combination for [ FreeBSD console -> screen -> TERM=vt220 -> ssh ]
sessions to BSD, Linux *and* Solaris systems.

I suspect having full `TERM=xterm' support in the console would make at
least half of this setup obsolete and make ssh connections to non-BSD
systems Just Work(TM) without the screen+vt220 hack!
