Good evening all,

I've been running FreeBSD since 1.1, and this is the first time I've
ever had hardware I couldn't manage to install on, but I upgraded my
desktop at home recently, and I can't get an install CD to boot on my
machine.

Hardware (output from Windows System Info):

(IRQs 81 - 189 are identical to the prior and following entries)

IRQ 190 Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System OK
IRQ 4294967294 ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT OK

Hard drives installed are : Maxtor 6L200R0 ATA133, Maxtor 6Y080M0
SATA150, and a Seagate ST3250620AS SATA3.0Gb ( I have 20GB set aside
for FreeBSD on this drive).

Optical drives are : Pioneer DVR-107D ATA and a Plextor PX-716SA SATA

Processor : Intel E6700 (Core2 Duo 2.66Ghz)

Memory : Crucial Ballistix 2x1GB DDR800

The motherboard is an Abit IP35, and I've tried booting 7.0-BETA4,
6.3-RC3, and 6.2-R install CDs. All of them hang in the same place,
while probing UHCI2. The keyboard is a Saitek Eclipse and the mouse
is a Logitech Mx 518. I was using both of them prior to upgrading my
hardware without any problems. I was tracking RELENG_6 previously.

I've tried setting the SATA controller to AHCI and IDE mode, and it
hangs in the same place either way (not unexpected, since the kernel
hangs long before ever getting around to probing it).

I'm running Vista and planning to dual boot the machine (I'm running
Vista Ultimate and tracking RELENG_6 on my Latitude D820 with no
problems currently).

If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears.
