Adding a host route should prevent the kernel panic. However, there
was also a fix made to ng_ksocket(4) that eliminates the panic from
ever happening (the offending packet is simply dropped with EDEADLK).

So, the first step is one should update their kernel to prevent the panic.
Once this is done, you can worry about how to actually make it work
(with the host route and mpd mods).
