Ouch! umtxn is waiting on a kernel lock. This should NOT happen and it looks more like a kernel issue than a userland one. If you can still run dvdrip with 5.12.4, what does 'procstat -k PID" show? It should provide some useful kernel stack information. Also, what version of FreeBSD and is it on i386, and64, or some other? -- R.
