We did a lot of work over the last 3 years (minimalistic compiler options, customised perl binaries/libs...) to reduce the number of shared libraries dependencies as much as possible. The result: the installer, package manager and ca. 350 non-graphic utilities work for all FreeBSD>=7. If you use asymptote, xdvi or xindy (compiled with clisp) on FreeBSD>7, simply install misc/compat7.
