See bug 218153 for workarounds. Something in your xorg.conf(5) prevents
dependent modules from being loaded.
I did not have any xorg.conf
Either remove xorg.conf or limit it to "Device" section that specifies
the desired Driver and maybe BusID.
Creating a xorg.conf (not using the broken Xorg -configure)
results in:
Fatal server error:
(EE) no screens found(EE)
Please make simple VGA or "vesa" working again.
