Yeah, I've got the same problem.

Fresh install of a machine, cvsup to 4.7 RC, cvsup ports. Then pretty
much the first thing I did post install was...

# cd /usr/ports/x11/gnome2
# make fetch-recursive
===> Fetching all distfiles for gnome2-2.0_4 and dependencies
