In order to use mount_smbfs you should include the following
options in your kernel config file:

options SMBFS
options LIBMCHAIN
options LIBICONV
options NETSMB
options NETSMBCRYPTO

So try to recompile your kernel with these options. Also run
/dev/MAKEDEV all.
