Thanks...your advice is probably the best. I'm doing a make buildworld right now. Hopefully the whole thing doesn't blow up! Yes, I did a full backup prior to starting. Also -- which .mc file do I use to add the additional commands to? I have hostname.domainname.mc, and freebsd.mc. Which one do I use?
