5.4 will be worth the upgrade, but I would wait for it to become final before installing it on any production servers. If you have any test systems please start testing it. The more 5.4 is tested before release the better. I don't think that you will be able to migrate a gvinum volume to a gmirror volume in place. You will have to back it up, remove the gvinum volume, then configure gmirror and restore the data, etc. --Nick
