Look in the archives of the freebsd-stable list for a message I sent a few weeks ago that has a few tips and gotchas in it.I think it's probably a case of it works with some Palms but not others (e.g. my Clie T625c or Palm Tungsten T, so I've never got it working yet!)
and/or the folks that hang out in #pilot-link on irc.pilot-link.org).
There may be errors in both the USB stack and/or Pilot-Link.
