Okay the solution is to disable COM and Parallel ports in the bios. (Maybe also USB KB, and USB FDD). To access the bios you have to press ESC while the red TOSHIBA boot screen is displayed, then press F1. (I explain that becaused it's undocumented).
With the default settings, I even got the 5.x kernel to panic. Really strange.
