Forwarded Well, not entirly, If windows craches, and you to reinstall you'll also need to reinstall the boot manager, not much work, but still... Also, there's a small change of the windows filesystem going bad on the wrong location (where your boot manager is located) and you won't be able to boot into anything...
I have no idea how grub actually works, you probably need to run an installer program or boot from a floppy/cd to install it, check the grub documentation....
