i'm using a dell d600 with 6.0-STABLE and Xorg on it. my mouse nipple is crazy|damaged: sometimes when i type keys next to it - 't', 'y', 'f', 'g', 'h', 'j', 'v', 'b', 'n' - the mouse pointer goes zooming across the screen, usually to the left.
i don't know anything about the underlying hardware or drivers, so i would like to disable the mouse nipple at startup until i make time to consult a professional. i also have a touchpad, but i can't figure out which device is the touchpad and which is the mouse nipple - my dmesg only lists one device as a mouse. ## <dmesg> Copyright (c) 1992-2005 The FreeBSD Project.
