The difference between RELENG_6 and RELENG_6_[0-1] is one is a development branch which releases are based off and RELENG_6_0 is the stable version of the released code which only gets security fixes commited to it. As bother are considred stable code compared to current STABLE sometimes breaks due to new features so i recomend you cvsup RELENG_6_0 then when 6.1-REL comes out cvsup RELENG_6_1
