Hey, So, we have systems running in Eastern and Pacific time zones as their local time, not to mention DST. So, we like to schedule a few things with UTC to save our sanity.
If a system is not running UTC as its locale, but I want to schedule a UTC cron job in crontab, is it sufficient to put a little: TZ=UTC Right before the job? I will of course discover this by trial-and-error, but it is nicer to hear from someone who has wrestled with this before. :) http://widell.fulhack.nu/bd/dst/ is fun, but dated.
