You run CVSup with the `*default delete' option enabled in your supfile.

Keep your kernel config outside the /usr/src/sys/i386/conf tree and
symlink to it every time you build.

        # cd /usr/src/sys/i386/conf
        # ln -s /root/kernconf/GIORGOS
        # cd /usr/src
        # make KERNCONF=GIORGOS buildworld buildkernel
