Figure this may get more attention - LOL !!! Message: 6 Date: Thu, 11 May 2006 07:31:50 +0100 From: "Graham Bentley" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: ACPI / APM Question To: <freebsd-questions@freebsd.org> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"
I am running 6.0 on a little rackserver. Alot of the time its inactive and I was wondering about trying to setup ACPI the main reason being to spin down the disc / PSU so its a bit quieter (its in my office) I would require it to wake on LAN activity. How feasable is this and what steps do I need to take to set it up ? I am reading acpiconf man right now but I suspect more is required. I have set the BIOS to WOL, spin down disc after 15 mins and ACPI suspend type to S1. Just tested acpiconf -s 4 and it shuts the system down completely? Any help appreciated - Thanks! _______________________________________________ freebsd-questions@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
