The following error message suddenly appeared after I booted up my system. The PC is connected to a small LAN. I Googled but was not able to find out what the message is suppose to mean.

~ $ Jun 2 15:01:56 seibercom kernel: arp: 00:07:e9:ea:f5:52 is using my IP address 192.168.0.2!

//End Error Message//

Since I have not seen this message before, I was wondering it is something I should be worried about.

It means another computer on the same LAN is using your same address that your machine assumed when it booted. Are you using DHCP? If yes, is everyone on the LAN using DHCP?
