Thanks Beech I do not understand how to reach such a conclusion but yr help is most appreciated. I tried something which seemed to satisgy pkgdb but will no doubt have negative repercussions later -- I chose krb5-1.5.1_1 as the new dependency -- and had a a report Fixws! No doubt it was the wrongchoice but I now have portupgrade working.. unless I hear anything from you to the contrary when this run is done I will follow your instructions and trust it all works out in the end.. <chuckles> ps where in alaska are you? I spend quite a few years in the South East _______________________________________________ freebsd-questions@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
