I don't know what broadcom chip your MB has but the majority of those cards are supported here:
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/src/sys/dev/bge/ You should be able to just copy over the 2 files to your src/sys/dev/bge/ directory and recompile your 6.1-release kernel with no problems. I did. Look carefully at the chip on your MB and post the BCM model number on it if this doesen't work.
