and it will list where it's found. For example, if you installed firefox,
[EMAIL PROTECTED] [Mon Apr 2 08:10:29 2007]
/usr/home/betom
$ which firefox
/usr/local/bin/firefox
In some cases, the executable of the package you installed is not clear at
first sight. You should then query the package itself to tell you everything
that it installed in a bin directory (where executable binaries go:)
pkg_info -L [pkg_name]* | grep bin
eg:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] [Mon Apr 2 08:12:06 2007]
/usr/home/betom
$ pkg_info -L firefox* | grep bin
/usr/local/bin/firefox
/usr/local/bin/firefox-config
/usr/local/include/firefox/gtkxtbin/gtk2xtbin.h
/usr/local/include/firefox/gtkxtbin/gtkxtbin.h
/usr/local/lib/firefox/firefox-bin
/usr/local/lib/firefox/libgtkxtbin.so
/usr/local/lib/firefox/res/html/gopher-binary.gif
/usr/local/bin/firefox-remote
/usr/local/bin/thunderbird-remote
