Depends on what you actually want to do. The installation ISO for disc1 includes a 'fixit' version which allows you to bring up a system that will run most of the FreeBSD commands. It will do about everything you need to look around a little and get used of the general commands, but it doesn't have any fun toys. There is another called something like Freesbie that is supposed to be a fairly basic FreeBSD system that will run from the CD. I have not used it so can't say just what it includes. If you have some spare disk space available, why not just install a regular FreeBSD on it and dive right in. It is not really all that difficult, though it takes some relearning if you are too used to an MS environment. ////jerry > > thanks, > > JA > > email@example.com mailing list > http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions > To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" > _______________________________________________ firstname.lastname@example.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
