Well ... I guess I could avoid the last step with: make installkernel KERNCONF=MYKERN INSTKERNNAME=kernel ... since I believe the bootloader defaults to looking for a kernel called, um, "kernel" :) > > Hope this helps, > Yes - it helps greatly.
