IIRC DOCSIS 2.0 only provided 30 million bps aggregate bandwidth, assuming the cable system used all available channels for data. Ethernet speed should not be confused with the cable wire speed. The obsolete 3-Com "shark fin" cable modem I had never delivered more than 1.5M bps out the ethernet port.
