Have you tried adjusting the MTU? ISPs which use PPPoE need to use a slightly smaller MTU than the default; for instance, Verizon.net wants 1492.Thanks for the tip, I had actually forgotten to set the MTU. However, it did not help :(. PPP still stalls...
