Can you post or mail your kernel config?
I can sed you mine if that helps.

It is recommended to clean out /usr/obj before starting a new build.

You could try burncd, which doesn't require the speudo-SCSI stuff. But
I've heard a lot of grumbling about it on the list over the years.
