I recommend following the instructions at http://www.daemonology.net/blog/2007-11-10-freebsd-minor-version-upgrade.html instead -- or more to the point, the version of FreeBSD Update which the newer article points at. It contains all the functionality of the older script plus some more (e.g., merging changes to configuration files) which you'll probably find useful when upgrading from 6.0.
