I originally saw it in the ports tree, IIRC, about a year ago or around there.
What it was was a massive piece of software for connecting multiple services allowing them all to be queried. It was capable of connecting to IMAP, LDAP, several SQL servers, and a few other things. The manual of the software was several hundred pages long.
